The Other Half - Dimensional Wall Art

This sculptural wall relief is based on a hand-made doll I created a couple years ago and have always wanted to revisit. The piece features two sisters sharing a single body — one pale and shadowed, the other warm and melancholy — surrounded by small moths, butterflies, vines and roses.

The relief was 3D printed and carefully hand-painted with acrylics to bring out the textures and subtle expressions in the figures. Each detail was painted by hand, from the soft shading in the dresses to the delicate wings of the insects.

The piece is mounted in an ornate solid wood frame, painted black and gently rubbed with gold to highlight the carved details and give it a slightly antique feel.
